Step-by-step choreography guide for the first dance.

Russell – Red circle
Holly – Purple circle
Dance floor (brown area)
Left wall – near bathroom (Russell enters here)
Right wall – near kitchen (Holly enters here)
0 0:00 – 0:13 Enter & Walk to Markers
Step 0 – Enter from walls

Russell enters from the left wall (near bathroom). Holly enters from the right wall (near kitchen).

Both walk toward their markers on the dance floor, arriving around the 0:11–0:13 mark.

1 0:11 – 0:21 Side Step & Move In
Step 1 – Side step and move in

Both side step dance for 5–6 seconds.

Start moving toward each other when Stromae says "arrivé (Arrivé)".

2 0:21 – 0:32 Swirl Towards Each Other
Step 2 – Swirl towards each other

Both swirl toward each other until the 0:32 Stomae and Pomme duet begins.

3 0:32 – 0:42 Box Dance, then Twirl
Step 3 – Box dance and twirl

Both start box dancing together at 0:32.

Holly does a twirl at 0:42 when Pomme starts singing.

4 After 0:43 Back-to-Back Freestyle
Step 4 – Back to back freestyle

Both dance back-to-back after the 0:43 twirl.

More wavey, freestyle movement.

5 0:54 – 1:05 Holding Both Hands – Side-Step Together
Step 5 – Holding both hands side step

Russell and Holly hold both hands in the middle.

Less box dance, more waltz-style — side-stepping from side to side together.

6 1:05 Holly's Solo – Russell Watches
Step 6 – Holly solo Russell watches

When Pomme goes into her solo at 1:05, Russell and Holly detach.

Holly swirls away and free-form dances.

Russell watches from afar, tapping in rhythm.

7 1:16 Groove Towards Each Other
Step 7 – Groove towards each other

At 1:16, when Pomme starts her second bit, Russell and Holly start grooving toward each other.

8 1:27 Russell Takes Holly – Circular Swing
Step 8 – Circular swing

At 1:27, Russell takes Holly back.

Hand in hand, swing her around in a circular motion for this section.

9 1:33 Tight Embrace – Then Throw Holly Away
Step 9 – Tight embrace then throw

At 1:33, Russell pulls Holly into a tight embrace whilst still shuffling.

Right before the next sequence, Russell "throws" Holly away to transition into the separation.

10 1:38 – 2:00 Return from Throw – 3 Rotations of Box Step
Step 10 – 3 rotations box step

Russell returns Holly from the throw, then 3 rotations of box step:

  1. Spin – twirl Holly
  2. Dip – side dip
  3. Spin away – final twirl that throws Holly away for the separation into the next section

This section goes for a while.

11 2:00 Separate – Spiral Outward
Step 11 – Spiral outward

At 2:00, Holly and Russell separate and begin spiralling outward, opposite to the earlier move.

Dancing across from each other.

12 2:12 Gravitate Toward Each Other – The Finale Begins
Step 12 – Gravitate toward each other

At 2:12 (when the vocal kicks in for the second time), Holly and Russell start to gravitate toward each other for the finale.

13 2:20 The Finale – End like the Music Video
Step 13 – Finale

At 2:20, Holly and Russell do the move to end up like the finale of the music video.

Holly wraps herself back to Russell at the end.

And then we are finished! 🎉
